Having grown up in the San Francisco Bay Area, Lara was always surrounded by nature and grew up with a love for the outdoors and the environment. Currently a student at Cal Poly SLO majoring in English and minoring in environmental studies, she hopes to pursue her dream of teaching both subjects back in the Bay Area. Her interest in development peaked when she went on a conservation service trip to Costa Rica and worked on installing a water infiltration system at local elementary schools. On the side she enjoys playing music, reading, and quick trips up the Coast to Big Sur!

Brenna has been passionate about wildlife conservation since she was a kid and is currently studying animal science at Cal Poly. She has spent the last three years rehabilitating and rescuing seals and sea lions for the Marine Mammal Center. Dana is a fourth-year Architecture student whose academic interests include cultural studies, education, new urbanism, and the application of environmentally-restorative and radically pragmatic methods of dwelling to human development. She works as a student instructor for undergraduate environmental design courses and as a technician in the fabrication shops for Cal Poly CAED, where she enjoys helping others find self-empowerment through creation and construction. She is seeking ways to cross-pollinate her passion for teaching with her desire to become a practicing architect. Her ultimate goal is to contribute to a world in which humans reach a more intimate understanding of the animate Earth and its manifold ways of dwelling; she is interested in pursuing the study of vernacular architectures around the world - in other words, how we build awesome, meaningful architecture with the resources that are given to us locally and abundantly.
